Terms & Conditions – Craig Melvin

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Craig Melvin (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “your”). By booking a service, paying a deposit, or engaging our business in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Services Provided

Craig Melvin provides mobile services including, but not limited to:

  • Lawn mowing and gardening

  • General outdoor labour

  • Window washing

  • High-pressure washing

  • Additional services as agreed

We reserve the right to decline any job where safety, access, or suitability of equipment is an issue.


2. Pricing & Quotes

  • Standard lawn mowing (front and back) is charged at a flat rate of $50.

  • Oversized or heavily overgrown lawns may incur an additional fee of $25 or more, advised before or during the job.

  • Custom quotes will be provided for large, commercial, or specialised jobs.

  • All quotes are estimates based on the information provided and may be adjusted if the job scope changes.


3. Deposits & Payments

  • A $25 deposit is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

  • Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new booking (see Section 7).

  • Remaining balances must be paid on completion of the job, unless agreed otherwise.

  • Payment options include:

    • Online card payment (via Square)

    • Cash on completion

    • Invoice (for approved clients or commercial jobs)


4. Access to Property

The client must ensure:

  • Gates, driveways, and entry points are unlocked or accessible.

  • Pets are secured.

  • The service area is free from hazards, obstacles, or waste (e.g., dog droppings, rubbish, children’s toys).
    If significant obstacles or hazards prevent completion, we may charge a call-out fee.


5. Safety

For the safety of our staff and your property, we may refuse work if:

  • Conditions are unsafe (e.g., severe weather, dangerous terrain).

  • There is a risk of injury or damage to property.

  • Equipment is unsuitable for the task.


6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Bookings may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the deposit being forfeited.

  • If we must cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, your deposit will be transferred to a new date.


7. Refunds

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless the cancellation is initiated by us.

  • Refunds for completed work will only be issued in cases of service error or significant dissatisfaction, and must be reported within 48 hours.


8. Property Damage & Liability

We take the utmost care during all services. However:

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, unstable structures, poor lawn conditions, or hidden objects.

  • You must notify us of any delicate areas, fragile items, or underground hazards before work begins.

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.


9. Photos & Documentation

With your permission, we may take before/after photos for:

  • Quality assurance

  • Proof of service

  • Marketing or social media (no identifying personal information unless approved)

You may decline photo usage at any time.


10. Privacy

Your personal information (name, address, phone number, email) is used solely for booking, communication, and service delivery.
We do not sell or share your information with third parties.


11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available upon request or on our website.
